Deputy Banquet Service Manager (m/f/d)
What you can expect from us :
- Ensuring a smooth process in the operational banquet department including billing of event services and invoice controls in compliance with department standards combined with active involvement in daily operations and in direct cooperation with the Banquet Operation Manager and Banquet Division Manager;
- Supporting the Banquet Operation Manager in managing a staff of approx. 40 employees as well as ensuring and monitoring the quantitative and qualitative headcount, taking into account the sales and personnel budget, optimal deployment and vacation planning, cooperation with external personnel service companies as well as conducting employee training, job interviews, employee appraisals and annual appraisals;</li
- Developing, monitoring and ensuring quality standards in the entire functional area and involvement in the redesign of the departmental offering;</li
- Involvement in the annual planning of the banquet sales and cost budget within the framework of the key business data, taking into account the general market development and the competitor situation; cooperation in monitoring the budget and the development of results;
- Representing the Banquet Operation Manager in attending the daily and weekly meeting to discuss upcoming events as well as the twice-yearly half-yearly meeting to monitor sales development;
What we wish for :
- successfully completed vocational training or comparable qualification in the hotel industry
- several years of professional experience in the upscale hotel or catering industry in a comparable position
- confident in the use of common software programs such as MS Office
- friendly, professional and open demeanor
- Very good knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages an advantage
