The US Consul General in Munich is looking for a person for his residence in Munich-Bogenhausen who can responsibly take care of all the tasks that arise in an upscale household and keep the residence in a good and representative condition.
Your tasks
Organizational matters
Visitor reception, telephone service and forwarding messages
Coordination with external contractors such as gardeners, drivers and security staff to ensure effective operations at the residence
Interface between the protocol, personnel, logistics and security departments of the consulate and the residence to coordinate official events
Welcoming and hosting guests of the residence during representative events and receptions
Accounting of expenses for events and regular expenses for residence management
Inventory management of furniture, china and cutlery as well as wine and other beverages
Coordinating the maintenance of the residence in cooperation with the consulate’s logistics department: contact person for repairs and regular maintenance work as well as for setting up and dismantling additional furniture at events
Procurement of equipment and cleaning materials as required
Housekeeping
Preparing the residence for representative events and receptions
Cleaning all rooms and furniture, making beds, cleaning windows, washing and ironing, handing in clothes for cleaning as required
Preparation of guest rooms
Cleaning of silverware, porcelain, glassware and brassware
If required, basic gardening work, care of pets and supervision of additional cleaning, service or repair work
Your qualifications
Ideally professional experience in a private household, hotel or restaurant
Sufficient knowledge of German, basic knowledge of English
Ability to make guests and visitors feel welcome
Independent and structured way of working
Well-groomed appearance and good manners as well as flexibility, reliability and discretion
